So this year, I decided to do something different! You know those sticky gift tags that you purchase at the store for a few dollars- easy as pie to write on and stick on your gifts?! Well, I decided not to use those this year and go "crafty". There are so many websites such as Martha Stewart that allows you to print gift tags from her website! The gift tags are larger than the ones you buy at the store so you have more room to write on them, they are such cute designs and certainly some that are unusual! Take a peek and I know you can't wait to see which gift tag you are going to get on your present! Ha! (the websites where you can download them from are below!!)

This past weekend we went to see the Lights on the Bay. It was a nice surprise when Santa greeted us at the gate and gave us candy canes. He then talk to the kids breifly about how he is checking his list and that he is excited to come to our house on Christmas! The Lights on the Bay is presented by Anne Arundel Medical center- the hospital where both kids were born. It's always nice being able to give money or give back to hospitals and charitable organizations. After we enjoyed a ride around the bay we went over the Bay Bridge and had dinner at Cracker Barrell. Although it was busy we had a wonderful family dinner and evening!

I did take a few pictures but we were so excited about the lights that I forgot to take pictures until the very end of the show :(

This picture is priceless- the road sign is included in the picture!

...This is my husband. Loves Redskins. Loves Capitals. Loves his family. Loves Redskins. When I say tha the is a true fane- I really mean that from the bottom of my heart. From the pit of my stomach. Each Sunday we spend with my family in Baltimore County and unfortunately they hardly ever show the Redskins games. But he doesn't complain. He spends time with the family and eagerly gets in the car on the way home to hear the commentators or tries to catch the last few minutes of the game. He wears his Redskins gear each week- underwear, pajamas, shirts, jersey, drinks out of his Redskins cup...all hoping for a win. Win or lose, Dave will always be a Redskins fan.

This year, his mom gave him a small gift to keep the positive spirit of the Redskins in our family. We received the PIG. Yes- it is a pillow-pet Redskin! Matthew & Dave take turns sleeping with it. Piggy watches the games with us and Piggy is Dave's support when the Redskins lose....Thank you Piggy for understanding my husband's feelings about the game, his thoughts and his love for the REDSKINS!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

Elf on a Shelf

Elf on a Shelf is at our house this year and it really makes it a magical experience for the whole family. Each year Santa sends an elf to different homes to "watch" over the kids (sounds creepy I know)! At night he reports back to Santa and tells him how the children are doing and flies back before the kids wake up and Elf finds a new spot for the day. Matthew more than Julia is truly mesmorized at how the Elf magical flies at night and in the morning he has to find the Elf. Julia though- you can't fool her...she told me one morning that Daddy moved Elf! But it's fun to have a little extra christmas magic in our house. The kids enjoy looking for him each morning (that is as long as mom and dad don't forget the night before)!

Elf on a Shelf was on television the night before Thanksgiving and the kids loved the show. I'm sure it will come back on again before Christmas!

It's Christmas time! The last week, we have spent decorating the house- both inside and outside and we have already started to enjoy the many holiday shows on television. The kids are so excited and our countdown at home has begun! We have so many holiday plans, places to go to and things to see and we just love this time of year! Shopping is almost done as well--makes the holidays even better when I don't have to spend every day shopping!
