Sunday July 7th, we had yet another party for Julia at my mom's house. My mom made her most favorite food- pansit! We had cake, ice cream and presents of course. It was a fun afternoon with family and Julia really enjoyed her gifts. She was vey excited about the princess dress up trunk - as soon as she got it, she ripped the bag open and started wearing the clothes. Unfortunately it was a little small for her so we are now on the hunt for princess dressup clothes for her. She also got the cutest princess umbrella, raincoat and lots of clothes, bath toys and PJs! It was a perfect day...who could complain after you have 4 birthday parties?!

Saturday, July 16th- Julia turned 3 years old. My sweet baby girl. Who has my attitude, Dave's sense of humor and is just so beautiful. Even at the age of 3, she continues to challenge us with her facial expressions, her talking back and but we adore her cuteness, dancing, singing and laughter. Matthew just loves his sister even though they constantly bicker, both are still learning how to share and he looks after her all the time. So thankful for such a wonderful family and always thankful that my dad and Dave's father is looking down on us and guiding us.

Saturday, we had a birthday party for Julia at Grammy's house. We celebrated with Debbie, Jim, Eric, Renee & Grammy. had burgers, dogs, crabs, salads and yummy cake and ice cream.

That evening we gave Julia our gifts and the most special moment of the day was when Matthew gave her his gifts. For the last few weeks, he has been asking to get Julia something. We took him to the store and he picked out two things that Julia just loves-- princess nail polish and a tinkerbell doll!

To kick off Julia's big birthday weekend, we took the kids to Dutch Wonderland. It was a great day for the amusement park, it wasn't very crowded, the weather was perfect and the kids had a great time. The kids were able to ride their favorite rides many times with virtually no lines since it wasn't as crowded. Although many of the rides cater to younger children, we all enjoyed riding them and had a blast. What a perfect day with the kids and family and great way to start the birthday bash for Julia!

Showings, showings and more showings...

Now that it is summer, the showings on our house are in full swing! We have been getting a showing almost everyday and the responses are great! People like the house, they feel that it is priced right...but we are still waiting for the right people to say "YES" to our house. We are in no rush, we are in no hurry and we know that the right person/family will come along and love the house as much as we love it.

It is very tiring though to keep the house immaculate with two little kids running around. The house doesn't look like a museum, it looks lived in, loved and feels warm and homey but clean and neat.

The kids have been troopers with having to rush out of the house as soon as a potential buyer calls, they know how to "neatly" put their toys away so it doesn't come flying out of a closet when a buyer opens it. They understand that they may have to eat dinner out a few nights a week instead of eating at home or stay at the library, park or store until someone is done looking at the house.....amazing how much kids understand even at their young age....

Happy Birthday America!

Food, fireworks, parades and more food! We started off the 4th of July weekend on Friday July 1st at Chesapeake Beach Waterpark! What a fun day trip with the kids and adults splashing around, going down slides, sun bathing and even hanging out in the lazy river! Then a crab feast in Calvert County at grammy's house and we were so excited that my mom could come along for the feast. The the big celebration of the 4th arrived and the kids went to see their very 1st 4th of July parade in Severna Park. Matthew made out with lots of candy, flags and water bottles that were given out by many local companies. We also saw fireworks that evening at Ft. Meade! What a fun long weekend!
